Create the Natural Look

Bonjour, beauty lovers! With many request from my readers on the step to creating a natural look for work, play, leisure, this post is dedicated to you!

Step 1: Prep your skin

Before application of any make up products, make sure that you moisturise your face to prevent drying up of skin due to various weather changing conditions. First, i use SKII to act as a toner once i have cleansed my face. Secondly, Make Up For Ever HD Primer to moisturise and protect my skin from absorbing of make up products. Lastly, with my oily skin type, using the Make Up For Ever All Matt Primer, only apply on specific T-Zone areas to have a better oil control. Afterall these steps, you will soon realise that your make up last longer, and better, no need for TOUCH UP!

Step 2: Foundation

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet is most suitable for oily skin type and sweat resistant. This means that your make up will not melt under the sun. Better, it can act as a concealer due to the amount of coverage.

For application, i prefer a sponge as the coverage can be balanced. I prefer to start from the undereye area and centre of the face. Then, i use the sponge to blend out.

Compare both side of my face. Do you see a difference in coverage?

This is the final look with foundation. The coverage is high, and i do not have to worry about my make up melting.

Step 3: Concealer

Only with the application of the Mat Velvet, i will use the Bobbi Brown cream concealer as they are both consist of high coverage and can be able to blend very well.

With the concealer, i can use to cover and highlight my eye areas as well. By achieving a better results, blend the product by only tapping.
Note: Do not rub under your eyes as the skin is very sensitive and vulnerable.

Step 4: Loose Foundation

Due to the harsh sun, Make Up For Ever White Definition SPF 30 PA++ Foundation is the best pick!
It helps to matify, protect and brighten your skin!

Firstly, I start off with the make up pad and apply under the eyes to act as extra highlighting. For the rest of my face, i use a loose foundation brush to lighting apply to set my make up.

Step 5: Eyeliner

If you have no time to apply eyeshadow, eyeliner is the easiest way. I use Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes. For application, simply glide the product on your upper eyelid. For better results, you can blend upwards with a brush straight after application for smokey effects.

Quick Tip: If you look tired, do apply a white eyeliner along your waterline to give a sharper look on your eyes.

Step 6: Contour

For contouring, I can MAKE UP FOR EVER Sculpting Kit. For application, start off with a medium size brush, or make up for ever sculpting brush, blend in a circular motion from your ear to the lower jaw line.

The circular motion in application can allow better blending and create a natural contouring effects.

Step 7: Mascara with Lashes

Maybelline Volume Lash and Make Up For Ever Aqua Smoky Lash is my top favourites. Simply curl your lashes, and apply the product by looking down for easier application.

Note: Sometimes your mascara may leave extra products due to the extra timing to dry the lashes. Not to worry, just wait for the product to dry, then use a Q-Tip to remove gently.

Step 8: Blush on cheeks!

This is the step which can be able to show radiant effects. Similarly like contouring, start from the ear, then blend towards your cheeks.

Note: By starting on your cheek area, this might make you look older.

Step 9: Lips

For lip, Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip is the best pick due to the waterproof effects. While lining, this can prevent your lip color from 'bleeding' ( fading away) and maintain the base color as well!

For natural finish, Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist is still my best pick due to the preventing my lips from drying out ( like most lipsticks do), and also do not need to retouch as much compared.

Finish look!

Hope that you have enjoyed this mini tutorial! Good luck!
