Salsa with SOL!

On 23rd September, i attended 2 workshops( Afro Rumba & Salsa Styling) which is being held by world renowned salsa dancer, Sol. He has such a passion for dancing and the way he portray the movements are really beautiful. I really look up to him as a mentor for dance.

After the workshops, SIM salsa club members and i went to Union Square. This is the first time i was there and the people there are really nice and sweet. I only stayed there till about 11.30pm but the good thing is i get to dance with Sol 2 times! If i get to Taipei, will sure look for him and join his classes.

Basic Model Workshop? Give me a break.

Modelling in Singapore can be pain in the a** due to the high competitive rates.
But seriously, do the some of the girls know what they are doing in this industry?
Professional Training School will be holding a basic modelling workshop soon!
Better, it is taught by A Personality Development, Image Trainer ( who is not even a high fashion model/ catwalk trainer).

Best, got to pay for it.

Best of the best, i would suggest that they can be able to qualify as a international model, but not those who just wanna earn fast money.

I am sure if Tyra Banks comes, the perception will be totally different.
In conclusion, i suggest that those girls who got no jobs from any modelling agencies( be it professional or not), dont waste your money.

Times

Miss the old times of waking up early before dawn because of the fresh air and quiet atmosphere. By imagining that almost everyone during this time was sleeping soundly and peacefully, i felt that i am the only human who exist in this scene. As i walked down the stairs, i could smell pancakes, french toast and heard the sizzling sound of frying eggs. Harmornizing of a familiar song came from the kitchen.

This morning, a sender( particular photog, which i shall name as "A") does not seem to understand english. This is how the conversation went . . .

A: Hey, i have seen your ad in clubsnap and i am interested to work with you.
- yea, she is writing about herself bla bla bla, and then she charged me.
Wondering does she read my post "tfcd basis" on clubsnap?
And she did not clarify whether it is model or make up port.

Me: Hi, thanks for the interest. ( with the confused thoughts on which port she is refering to)

A: Hey. So would u like to me help you take photos?
- seriously, i dont think she got what i mean.

Me:Sorry got to clarify this, i am working with you as a model or make up artist?

A: Photographer ( Like Duh. okay i shall conclude, she is dumb).

People read and understand what they are reading. She doesnt!

Anyway, this is just from my thoughts which triggered few secs ago.

Make Up Trial ( leapord prints)

Got my SIM student card. The picture was taken horribly. Everyone came back from orientation camp with 5 or less hours of rest. Still wondering, what did they do to our passport photos?

I am so bored today! Hence, decided to try out leapord prints on the eyes. This is the first time of my trial.

Only get to try out one side of my face, but turns out quite similar. Loads of room for improvement. What do you think?

New Adorable Friends.

Good news! I am now officially the student of SIM ( University of Buffalo). The orientation was such an enjoyable experience and the people who i met are very awesome!
Such a pity that i couldnt take more photos due to the activities which were very packed during last night. But i got to share with you the awesome people who i have met.

Pictures were taken before we were ready to be back in SIM.

Maya. She is really cool and very well to get along. Love her attitude and character.

From what i know, she is a dancer too.

Hope that her sprain ankle will recover.

Tobias. A senior from University of Buffalo. This is the first time he is in Singapore for his final year. Will be here for 1 semester. Loads of fun and laughter, especially the BREAK-FAST joke.

Cherry. Very cheerful lady. Her name is really special and always smiling.

Thalia. She is from Indonesia. We share loads of common interests and can be able to talk about anything under the sun( and moon). Really lovable. And i cant wait to join her for class!

Min jie. A former student from Republic Polytechnic too! We were studying the different course, hence never had a chance to know each other in the past. And we got really close with Thalia too!

This is the symbol of our group, the BLUE ranger. love the design because i have a collection of tribal items. hooray for UB students!
